U.S. President orders the Department of Defense to urgently resume nuclear weapons testing.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump has instructed the Pentagon to immediately resume testing of the contry’s nuclear weapons.
Trump issued this order minutes before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea, marking an unprecedented move in 33 years.
The U.S. president wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that he has “ordered the Department of Defense to begin testing our nuclear weapons under equal conditions. This process will start immediately.”
He added that Russia ranks second in terms of nuclear arsenal size, while China is third but could match it within five years.
