Xi Jinping: China and the U.S. Reach Consensus on Key Economic Issues

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via TASS, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the port city of Busan,South Korea,that the two countries have reached an initial agreement on how to address critical economic issues between Beijing and Washington.
Xi stated that trade and economic teams from both nations have achieved preliminary consensus on resolving key concerns and made encouraging progress.
He added that China and the United States can help each other achieve mutual success and prosperity. “I have repeatedly said for years that China and America should be partners and friends,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Trump expressed hope that their meeting would lead to an agreement for increased trade between the two countries. He also announced plans to reduce additional tariffs imposed on Chinese goods due to fentanyl trafficking.
