Nabih Berri: Israeli Regime’s Actions Constitute Aggression Against Lebanon

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via the Al-Nashra website, reported that Nabih Berri, Lebanese Parliament Speaker, responded to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. He stated that the incidents in Blida and Addiseh, the early morning Israeli airstrikes on Al-Aishiya, Jarmaq, and Khardali suburbs, as well as violations of Beirut’s airspace and it’s southern outskirts, go beyond a breach of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and UN resolutions. Instead, he described these acts as clear aggression against Lebanon that cannot be addressed by condemnation alone.
Berri’s remarks came following Israel’s attack on Blida’s municipal building resulting in the assassination of Ibrahim Salami, a city council employee; bombing of the Hussaini Club building in Addiseh; assaults on both Lebanese Army forces and UNIFIL peacekeepers; and obstructing their duties.
He urged all Lebanese people to strengthen their unity across all fronts and back President Joseph Aoun’s positions concerning today’s developments in Lebanon.
