Hamas Warns of Suspicious and Fake Activities on Social Media

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, issued a statement warning that as the Israeli enemy continues its genocide, destruction, and starvation against the Palestinian people in Gaza while targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, and the west Bank with ongoing crimes, numerous fake and suspicious social media accounts have emerged. These accounts aim solely to damage the movement’s image and leaders while fueling divisions among Palestinians.
hamas stated it is closely monitoring these suspicious accounts. Among them is an account named “Khaled Mansour” on the X platform (formerly Twitter), which has been spreading false content, distorting facts, undermining unity within the movement, and attempting to defame some resistance leaders for over two years.
The statement added that in recent months another suspicious account called “Al-Asfoura” has appeared. This account disseminates baseless accusations and rumors against members and cadres of the resistance to incite public opinion and provoke internal disputes. Its goal is creating discord among resistance factions.
Hamas also pointed out a network of similar accounts operating under names like “Younes al-bahri,” “Sadiq Ezzeddin,” “Nisreen Rezaeineh,” and “Tijarat Al-Kawn” actively working against Hamas.
The movement emphasized that these accounts pose a danger through fabricating news stories, spreading malicious rumors, and pretending to defend one part of the resistance against another-actions serving only Israeli enemy interests.
Accordingly,Hamas urged all Palestinians and supporters of the resistance to avoid interacting with or trusting these fake or suspicious profiles. It stressed their main goal is fostering division to weaken the resistance.
Hamas affirmed that an informed Palestinian public and also its members will not be deceived by such falsehoods. these poisonous efforts are destined to fail as the resistance remains united firmly standing steadfast against all conspiracies and plots.
