China Vows Firm Response to Provocative Actions

According to ​the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm,China’s defense Minister stressed in his meeting with⁢ the U.S.secretary of Defense that China is committed to peaceful progress and has every possibility to respond calmly and firmly to ⁣any provocative acts.

Dong Jun, China’s Defense Minister, added that⁢ China hopes the United States will turn⁤ it’s statements about not⁤ seeking to⁢ contain or confront beijing‌ into action.

The U.S. Secretary ​of ‌Defense raised concerns ⁤over China’s activities in the South China Sea and emphasized the importance of maintaining ⁣a balance of power in the region.

Referring to escalating tensions between Washington and Beijing in the Asia-Pacific region, he affirmed that America will vigorously defend its interests.
