Nawaf Salam Urges Immediate Halt to Israeli Regime’s Aggression on Lebanon

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency which referenced Al Jazeera, Lebanon’s Prime Minister spoke about recent developments in his country: ”We are mobilizing all political and diplomatic resources to prevent Israeli violations.”
Nawaf Salam also asserted that the government’s exclusive control over arms is not merely a slogan but an irreversible decision.
He condemned yesterday’s Israeli raid on the village of Blida in southern Lebanon, which resulted in the death of a municipal employee. Salam described this act as “a blatant attack on Lebanese government institutions and national sovereignty.”
The Lebanese Prime Minister recently met with Morgan Ortagus, US Deputy Special Envoy to Lebanon, emphasizing that any negotiations must focus on implementing a ceasefire, stopping Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and securing a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory.
salam further stated that achieving stability in southern Lebanon depends on international support for holding reconstruction conferences aimed at rehabilitating damaged areas.
