Afghanistan and Pakistan Agree to Resume Talks in Istanbul

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al-Nashra, reported that Zabihullah Mujahid, the Afghan government spokesperson, stated in a press release that an agreement has been reached to restart negotiations with Pakistan in Istanbul to resolve pending matters between the two nations.
Earlier, turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Afghanistan and Pakistan would resume peace talks in Istanbul on November 6 and had agreed to extend the ceasefire until then.
The ministry added that all parties had consented to maintain the ceasefire between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with implementation details set to be discussed at a high-level meeting in Istanbul.
Mujahid previously referred to a extensive ceasefire agreement signed by both countries in Doha, emphasizing that it included provisions ensuring no group attacking Pakistan would receive support.
He also highlighted that the deal involves establishing a mechanism supervised by mediator countries to monitor compliance with its terms.
