This release comes as former President Donald Trump accuses Democrats of deliberately delaying efforts to resolve the shutdown by opposing various funding proposals.
On Thursday night, President Trump and First Lady Melania welcomed hundreds of children and their families to a Halloween event at the White House. Guests attended dressed as superheroes, dinosaurs, and even children wearing costumes imitating the president and first lady.
