US Attacks on the Caribbean Are Unjustified and Illegal

The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has called for urgent, independent, and transparent inquiries into recent US attacks on boats in the Caribbean that have so far resulted in over 60 deaths, according too webangah News Agency.
In a statement, the office emphasized that US airstrikes on vessels in the Caribbean and pacific Ocean violate international human rights law and lack any legal justification.
yesterday, US military forces struck another boat in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which they claimed was involved in drug trafficking. The attack killed four people.
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said this latest strike raised the death toll from Washington’s alleged anti-drug campaign in the Caribbean to at least 62.
These attacks began in early September. Experts note that even if these targets are identified as traffickers, such strikes amount to extrajudicial killings. Washington has yet to provide evidence supporting its claims about these vessels-which Venezuela describes as fishing boats. The deadly incident last night followed multiple assaults two days prior on four boats in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which left 14 dead.
