The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement reported by webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, declared that Moscow is expanding its list of individuals banned from entering Russia. This move responds directly to the European Union’s adoption of its 19th anti-Russian sanctions package and prohibits more representatives from European institutions from entering the country.
earlier, the ministry condemned the latest EU sanctions against Moscow as illegal and harmful to europe itself.
The statement emphasized that “Moscow strongly condemns any unilateral and illegal coercive measures” and stressed that “the EU has exhausted all options with its 19th sanctions package.”
Furthermore, the ministry warned that “the European Union blindly continues down a path of self-destruction without recognizing that threatening third countries with secondary sanctions and assuming the role of global enforcer will carry consequences.”
