Trump: I Have No Plans to Attack Venezuela

According to the English section of webangah‍ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁢and RIA Novosti, Reuters reported that U.S. ⁣President Donald Trump denied media⁣ reports‌ suggesting a ⁤plan to attack ‌Venezuela. He stated he is not considering an attack on Venezuelan soil.

These remarks come as a U.S. official told Al Jazeera on Friday⁢ that President Trump is engaged in ⁣discussions with⁢ his administration regarding possible attacks inside Venezuela targeting drug trafficking groups.

the official added that the Joint Chiefs⁢ of ‌Staff have presented options concerning the locations of drug trafficking organizations ⁢within Venezuela to President Trump.

A senior​ Democratic member ‍of the House Armed​ Services Committee also said thay anticipate the Trump administration will‍ soon conduct ground operations in Venezuela.
