Washington Post Claims Maduro Sought Help from Russia, China, and Iran

The English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, reported that The Washington Post cited alleged American documents stating that the Venezuelan president sent a message to his Russian counterpart amid the Trump management’s attacks on boats in the Caribbean and threats of military action against Venezuela.
The Washington Post further claimed, based on these documents, that Nicolás Maduro requested missiles, radar systems, and upgraded aircraft in his communication with Putin.
The newspaper added that Venezuela also reached out to China and Iran seeking military support and equipment to strengthen its defenses. maduro reportedly asked his Chinese counterpart to expand military cooperation between Beijing and Caracas amid tensions with the United States and accelerate production of radar systems by Chinese companies.
According to American documents cited by The Washington Post, Venezuela’s Minister of Transport recently coordinated receiving military equipment and drones from Iran.
These claims come while Maduro has denied Trump’s allegations regarding attacks on drug trafficking groups in the Caribbean Sea. He considers these assaults and threats against Caracas mainly aimed at seizing Venezuela’s oil and gas reserves.
