Colombia Takes Action Against the United States at the United Nations

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu Agency, Colombian President Gustavo Petro Sánchez reacted on the social media platform X to recent U.S. attacks on vessels in the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.
The Colombian president wrote: “The operations (by the U.S.) in the Caribbean Sea appear illegal according to Amnesty International. What is the stance of governments and peoples of Caribbean countries? Colombia must submit a draft proposal to the United Nations aimed at stopping these attacks by (the U.S.) in both the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.”
It is noteworthy that, over recent weeks, under orders from President Joe Biden, the U.S. military has targeted numerous boats and ships in the Caribbean Sea based on an unfounded rationale linked to drug trafficking combat efforts.
