Tom Barrack Continues Interventionist Stance in Lebanon

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al-Nashra, Tom Barrack, the US envoy to the region, maintained his interventionist position on Lebanon.
Justifying Israeli attacks on Lebanon without addressing ongoing occupations and violations of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli regime, he claimed: “Israel targets southern Lebanon daily as thousands of rockets in that area threaten Israel.”
Barrack described Lebanon’s refusal to engage in dialog with Israel as irrational and asserted: “Israel is ready to reach a border agreement with Lebanon. There is no time left for Lebanon.”
Regarding Lebanon’s situation, Barrack called it a bankrupt country facing difficulties across various sectors, including its banking system.
He urged Lebanese authorities to accelerate efforts toward Hezbollah’s disarmament.
The US envoy also claimed: “the assets funneled to Hezbollah surpass the budget received by the Lebanese army.”
