Iraq Announces Preliminary Election Results 24 Hours After Voting

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing iraqi news agency WAAD, the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq confirmed that preliminary results from the parliamentary elections will be released 24 hours after voting ends.
Hassan Hadi Zayer, a member of the commissionS media team, stated that there are 3.5 million biometric cards in total. Of these, 2.3 million have already been distributed, and approximately 1.2 million more will be handed out by November 11.
He added that according to Law Number 4 of 2023, preliminary election results are to be announced exactly 24 hours following the close of voting-that is, at 6 p.m.on the day after election day.
It should be noted that Iraq’s parliamentary elections are scheduled for November 11, 2025.
