Zakharova: Sending Tomahawks Won’t Resolve the Ukraine Crisis

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for Russia’s foreign ministry, responded today, Saturday, to reports about U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine.
Commenting on reports that the Pentagon approved sending Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv, Zakharova stated: “Supplying weapons to Ukraine will neither resolve the Ukrainian conflict nor fulfill President biden’s election promises.”
She added that Western denial of the cruise missile with unlimited range known as “Burevestnik” is a fact they cannot ignore.
This comes after some media outlets claimed on Friday that the U.S. Department of Defense authorized the White House to send long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine; however, the final decision depends on approval from former President Donald Trump.
