Iraqi Oil Smuggled by American Gangs
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maalomah, Iraqi political analyst Mohammed Al-Dhari emphasized that American companies holding oil contracts with the Kurdistan Region are nothing but oil smuggling rings.
He added that these so-called companies are illegally smuggling oil from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and selling it on global markets.
Al-Dhari stated that Iraq’s Ministry of Oil had requested meetings with representatives of these American companies regarding the contracts, but they refused for clear reasons.
He noted that OPEC had previously warned about daily smuggling of 200,000 barrels of oil products from the Kurdistan Region.
It is worth mentioning that recently, U.S. President donald Trump made remarks revealing his country’s colonial mindset by claiming Iraq has so much oil it does not know what to do with it.
