Trump: China is aware of the consequences of attacking Taiwan
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and qatar’s Al Jazeera network, US President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South korea, the issue of Taiwan was not raised. He added that Beijing is aware of the consequences if it initiates military action against Taiwan. “If Beijing carries out military operations in Taiwan, you will see what I will do,” he said.
The US president expressed surprise that China’s president did not bring up Taiwan during their recent meeting.
Trump then claimed: “I cannot reveal secrets. China has said that as long as I am president, it will not take any action toward Taiwan because it understands the consequences.”
