Tel Aviv: Army Reservists Ordered Not to Carry Weapons

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing sources, the Israeli regime has decided to prevent reserve soldiers who have served in the army from carrying weapons, aiming to reduce suicide rates among military personnel.
The Israeli army stated this measure is intended to help these soldiers pass through a stressful period. This ban on weapon carrying by reserve forces comes amid reports from research centers within Israel expressing concern over a sharp increase in suicides among these troops.
An official report from the occupied territories revealed a significant rise in suicide attempts among Israeli soldiers during the past 18 months, highlighting an unprecedented mental health crisis within their ranks.
The report, released by the Knesset research and facts Center at the request of parliament member Ofer Cassif, recorded 279 suicide attempts between January 2024 and July 2025. In other words, for every completed suicide during this period, there were seven attempted suicides.
