Syrian Army Checkpoint in Al-Bukamal Targeted in Attack
News sources reported that an attack by unidentified armed men on a Syrian army checkpoint in Al-Bukamal, near the Syria-Iraq border, left three Syrian soldiers wounded.
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Alsumaria News, unidentified armed assailants attacked a Syrian army checkpoint in Al-Bukamal, close to the Syria-Iraq border, injuring three Syrian soldiers.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the attackers threw a grenade inside the checkpoint of the 86th Division of the Syrian army in Al-Bukamal.
The source added that when army forces exited the checkpoint to pursue the attackers, a bomb planted on a motorcycle detonated along their path, wounding three soldiers.
Syrian sources confirmed that the identities of those responsible for the attack remain unknown.
