Early Voting Ends in New York Mayoral Race with Zohran Mamdani Leading

Early voting sites are now closed but will reopen on Tuesday, Election Day, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time.
Several media outlets have reported that Zohran Mamdani, a fierce critic of former President donald Trump, is currently leading in the race.
On Sunday night, trump indirectly expressed support for former Governor Andrew M. Cuomo over Mamdani, the Democratic candidate known for strongly opposing Trump’s controversial policies.
The Republican president told CBS’s “60 Minutes” he was “not a fan” of Andrew M.Cuomo but added, “If I have to choose between a bad Democrat and a communist, I’ll always take the bad Democrat (Andrew M. Cuomo).”
