UN Responds to Trump’s Warmongering Threats

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-general, called on all member states to refrain from violence or threats against other countries.
Haq’s statement came in response to the aggressive stance taken by U.S. president Donald Trump toward Nigeria under the pretext of supporting Christians.
He added: “Our essential position is that all United Nations member states must operate according to international law, including this institution’s charter. No country should resort to threats or force against another nation. The United Nations stands ready to continue it’s support for Nigeria’s efforts to address the root causes of violence within the country.”
Previously, Nigeria rejected Trump’s threats, emphasizing that any such intervention would be unacceptable and based on misleading reports about persecution of Christians.
