Dick Cheney, Architect of Iraq War, Dies

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Youm Al-Sabea, American outlets announced that Dick Cheney, Vice President under former President George W. Bush and a key figure behind the Iraq War, passed away today at 84 years old.
Richard Bruce Cheney was born on January 30, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 untill January 2009. He died on November 4,2025.
In a statement released by his family and reported by CNN, Cheney-recognized as one of modern America’s most prominent figures and the primary architect of the U.S. invasion of Iraq based on flawed assumptions-passed away at age 84.
The family stated: “His beloved wife Lynne,with whom he shared 61 years of marriage; his two daughters Liz and Mary; along with other family members were by his side at his passing.”
Dick Cheney died Monday from pneumonia combined with cardiovascular disease.
In recent years,the former vice president had openly criticized current president Donald Trump. A staunch conservative, Cheney described Trump as a coward and called him the greatest threat to republicanism to date.
