Bomb Threat Targets New Jersey Electoral Districts in US
New Jersey officials have reported bomb threats at polling stations across seven counties in the state.
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, New Jersey authorities warned of bomb threats targeting polling sites in seven counties amid a tight governor’s race.
Zahran Mamdani, a New York City mayoral candidate, responded to questions about whether such intimidation efforts could impact the mayoral contest by calling these actions “a sign of attacks we are witnessing on our democracy.”
speaking to reporters at his polling location in Astoria, Queens, Mamdani added that sometimes these threats are made openly and explicitly.
It is noteworthy that gubernatorial elections are taking place today in New Jersey and Virginia, while New York holds its mayoral election.
