New Jersey officials ⁤have reported bomb threats ⁣at polling stations across seven counties in ‍the state.

Zahran Mamdani, ‌a New York City mayoral candidate, responded to‌ questions about whether such intimidation efforts could impact the mayoral contest by calling these actions “a sign of attacks we are witnessing on our democracy.”

speaking to ‌reporters at his polling location in Astoria, Queens, Mamdani added that sometimes these threats are made openly and explicitly.
