Qassam Brigades to Return Another Israeli Prisoner’s Body
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced Tuesday evening that they have located the body of an Israeli captive in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza.They confirmed it will be returned to the opposing side at 8 p.m.local time.
Earlier today, fighters from the Qassam Brigades reported finding the corpse of an Israeli soldier who had been held captive during a search operation in eastern al-Shujaiya.
According to Qassam, arrangements for transferring the body to Israeli authorities are currently underway.
The statement highlighted that engineering equipment and specialized teams from Qassam working alongside Red Cross personnel in searching for bodies within what is known as the “Yellow Line” area played a crucial role in accelerating recovery efforts and led to discovering more remains.
