Al-Mayadeen: Majority of New York Voters Have So Far Supported Mamdani
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in New York reported that approximately 1.6 million people have participated in the city’s mayoral election so far.
Al Mayadeen stated that many voters cast their ballots for Muslim candidate Zohran Mamdani, motivated by a desire for change and protest against declining living standards in New York City.
The channel also cited it’s correspondent in Virginia reporting that over one million of six million eligible voters took part in early voting there.
Al Jazeera reported that American media predict Democrat Abigail spanberger will win Virginia’s gubernatorial race.
Though, Reuters stated based on election office forecasts that Mamdani is expected to win Virginia’s governorship contest.
