Memadani Appointed New York City Mayor

Bloomberg reported a record-high voter turnout for the New York mayoral election, marking the highest participation in several decades for this race.
Al mayadeen also released early voting data showing that a majority of voters so far supported the Muslim candidate.
The network’s correspondent in New York confirmed that approximately 1.6 million people participated in the city’s mayoral election.
Al Mayadeen further noted that many voters cast their ballots for Mamdani seeking change and protesting declining living standards in New York City.
