Putin: Trump’s Comments on US Nuclear Tests Are a Serious Matter
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a meeting with the permanent members of Russia’s security Council that the situation surrounding Trump’s comments on U.S. nuclear tests is a serious issue.
Putin added that Darchiev, Russia’s ambassador, has sent an explanatory message to Moscow regarding the nuclear tests referred to by Trump. Russia has always adhered to the Complete nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and has no plans to break its commitments.
He further noted that if member states of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty decide to conduct nuclear tests, russia will be compelled to take appropriate measures.
Putin also ordered officials to draft proposals outlining potential preparations for conducting nuclear weapons tests.
