Member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Party Assassinated in Pakistan

According to the English section‍ of webangah⁣ News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Dawn News, a Pakistani police officer confirmed that Hafiz Maulana⁣ Abdul Salam Arif, a member⁤ of⁣ the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI)​ provincial council, was ‌shot dead⁣ by unidentified assailants ​on ‌motorcycles.

The incident ⁢occurred in‌ Charsadda district of khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan.

Investigation Officer⁣ Safdar‍ Khan stated that the JUI member was attacked by⁢ two armed suspects​ on motorcycles as he was returning home after praying at a ‌mosque.

“The incident is under thorough investigation‌ from all possible‌ angles,” said the‌ officer. Police ‌have collected evidence from the crime scene and summoned expert teams to assist in the ⁢inquiry.
