Pyongyang: US Threats Against North Korea Are Ineffective

A senior North Korean ⁣official has stated that the country will respond to Washington’s unfriendly sanctions against Pyongyang.

According to ‍the English section of webangah News⁤ Agency, citing south Korea’s Yonhap News Agency via Mehr News Agency,⁤ Kim Un-chol,‌ North Korea’s Deputy Foreign Minister, responded to U.S. sanctions by saying, “The recent U.S. sanctions reflect Washington’s hostile policy toward us.As long as the current U.S. management insists on⁢ its adversarial stance until the end, we will also respond patiently⁢ and reciprocally.”

He condemned the United States for‍ its “malicious nature”⁤ and warned that ⁤Washington should not expect its pressure tactics, deception, and threats against north Korea to succeed.

The Al Masirah network ⁢also quoted this North Korean ⁢official stating that U.S.⁣ sanctions will have no impact now or in the future on North Korea’s mindset or approach.

The deputy foreign minister declared that the hostile nature of the United States toward the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ‌has once again become‍ clear.

He added that like preceding administrations, ⁣the current U.S. government ‍continues to pursue its hostile⁣ policies against Pyongyang through traditional repetitive methods.

Notably, on Tuesday, June 11th, the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned eight individuals and two entities allegedly ⁣involved in various‍ cyber money⁣ laundering schemes connected to North Korea.

The⁢ Treasury claimed these measures aim to cut ⁤funding from Pyongyang’s weapons programs.

John Herlihy, U.S.Deputy Treasury Secretary for Terrorism and Financial intelligence, stated: “These individuals generate revenue ⁤supporting Pyongyang’s weapons advancement and directly threaten ⁣both U.S. security and global stability.”
