Tel Aviv Declares Egypt-Israeli-Occupied Palestine Border a Military Closed Zone
israel’s Defense Minister has ordered the Israeli military to declare the border between Egypt and the occupied Palestinian territories a closed military zone.
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reported that Israel Hayom announced Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has instructed the army to designate the border area between Israel and Egypt as a restricted military zone.
according to this israeli newspaper, Gallant discussed with the head of Shin Bet how to respond to what Tel Aviv describes as “arms smuggling via drones.” He characterized this activity as a terrorist threat against Tel Aviv.
In related news, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of Internal Security, supported Gallant’s decision to declare the border with Egypt a closed military area.
