Abdel Fattah al-Burhan: Army Determined to Defeat Insurgents

The Chairman of‍ Sudan’s sovereignty ⁢Council stated that the​ contry’s army is determined to defeat armed insurgents and will ​overcome the coalition formed by some countries against Sudan.

According to the English ⁢section of webangah News ⁣Agency, citing Mehr News Agency ⁣via Al ​Jazeera, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty⁣ Council, emphasized today in ⁢a speech to ‍military commanders ⁣that ‍the Sudanese army ⁢is committed to securing ⁣all of Sudan’s borders.

He declared that the army​ is⁤ resolute in defeating rebel militias‍ and affirmed that ​anyone fighting in the name ⁣of the people ⁣will not be defeated.

Al-Burhan stressed that the coalition led by arrogant‍ countries against Sudan and its army will ⁢be defeated, with‍ the people⁤ emerging‌ victorious.

Last week, Rapid Support Forces captured El Fasher, which was the ​last stronghold​ of Sudan’s army in‍ Darfur. Reports have emerged‌ accusing these forces ‍of killing civilians, forcing thousands of families to flee ‍toward safer areas in northern and western Darfur.

in response, Amnesty International ‍stated ⁤that ‌what is happening in Sudan today​ is so horrific it defies‍ description. According to their report,Sudan’s crisis represents the largest humanitarian disaster currently facing ​the world.

The organization ‌highlighted that tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and over 12 million people displaced within Sudan. Moreover, ⁣more ⁢than 14 million children ‍urgently need humanitarian⁢ aid to survive.

Since April 2023, intense fighting between⁣ government forces​ and Rapid Support‍ Forces has claimed ​tens of thousands of lives ​and displaced approximately 13 million people across Sudan.
