According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Jazeera, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council, emphasized today in a speech to military commanders that the Sudanese army is committed to securing all of Sudan’s borders.
He declared that the army is resolute in defeating rebel militias and affirmed that anyone fighting in the name of the people will not be defeated.
Al-Burhan stressed that the coalition led by arrogant countries against Sudan and its army will be defeated, with the people emerging victorious.
Last week, Rapid Support Forces captured El Fasher, which was the last stronghold of Sudan’s army in Darfur. Reports have emerged accusing these forces of killing civilians, forcing thousands of families to flee toward safer areas in northern and western Darfur.
in response, Amnesty International stated that what is happening in Sudan today is so horrific it defies description. According to their report,Sudan’s crisis represents the largest humanitarian disaster currently facing the world.
The organization highlighted that tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and over 12 million people displaced within Sudan. Moreover, more than 14 million children urgently need humanitarian aid to survive.
Since April 2023, intense fighting between government forces and Rapid Support Forces has claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced approximately 13 million people across Sudan.
