Sadr Urges Supporters to Halt Protests Until Election Day in Iraq

According to the english section of webangah news Agency, quoting mehr News Agency, Muqtada al-Sadr, head of Iraq’s Sadrist Movement, urged his supporters to suspend protest activities from today until the parliamentary elections.
He added that there is no reason for demonstrations before the elections take place.
Previously, Muqtada al-Sadr stated: “anyone who intends to boycott the parliamentary elections or seeks another path for gaining power will never establish justice. Falsehood will not be defeated except through surrendering unregulated weapons to the government,disbanding militias,strengthening the army and police forces,securing Iraq’s independence by preventing external influence,and making extensive efforts toward reform.”
