Rapid Response Forces Agree to Ceasefire in Sudan
The Sudanese Rapid Support Forces have declared their acceptance of a ceasefire proposed by the international Quadruple Committee, according to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency.
They added that they seek the implementation of this ceasefire and the start of a political process.
The attacks carried out by the Rapid Support Forces, especially in the city of El Fasher, have resulted in thousands of casualties and injuries.
Amnesty International has previously described the situation in Sudan as so horrific that it defies description. According to its report, Sudan’s crisis is currently the world’s largest humanitarian disaster.
The organization noted that tens of thousands of civilians have been killed,over 12 million people have been forced to flee,and more than 14 million Sudanese children require humanitarian assistance for survival.
