Joseph Aoun: Israel’s Attacks on Lebanon Are Full-Scale Crimes
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Al Jazeera, Lebanese president Joseph Aoun emphasized that today’s Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon constitutes a full-fledged crime under international law and a heinous political offense.
He added that whenever Lebanon has welcomed peaceful negotiations, Israel has escalated its aggressions. Since the ceasefire was implemented, Israel has spared no effort in opposing peaceful dispute resolution.
Aoun stated that Israel boasts about violating United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and continues to do so unabated.
This afternoon, Israeli warplanes commenced savage attacks on the areas of Aita al-Jabal and Tire Diba in southern Lebanon.
The assaults targeted residential neighborhoods within Lebanese territory.
