Iraq’s Electoral Silence Begins Tomorrow

The election process in iraq will enter the electoral silence period starting Saturday, ahead of both the special military vote and the general election, according too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Wa’a News Agency.
The Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq confirmed its full readiness to conduct the elections in coordination with relevant security agencies.
In an official statement, the commission announced that the electoral silence will commence at 7 a.m. tomorrow and last until voting concludes across all polling centers.
The statement emphasized that any campaigning activities for candidates or electoral lists during this time violate regulations and legal measures will be taken against offending parties.
The commission highlighted that this period is intended to provide a calm surroundings for voters to make decisions freely, without last-minute influence or advertising pressure.
Political groups and media outlets were urged to strictly observe these rules to ensure a fair and healthy electoral process for all participants.
Furthermore, the commission called on all citizens to participate actively in both special military voting and general elections, contributing effectively toward strengthening democratic practices through responsible portrayal choices.
Special voting is scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 9 at 7 a.m.,followed by general polling starting Tuesday morning,November 11 (corresponding to Aban 20 on the Iranian calendar).
