Rapid Response Forces Launch Drone and Rocket Attacks Across Multiple Regions in Sudan

According to teh English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency which referred to Al Jazeera, the Rapid Support Forces bombed southern and northern kordofan after hours of drone assaults on Atbara and Omdurman on Friday. This came despite thier proclamation of readiness to accept a temporary humanitarian ceasefire.
A military source told Al Jazeera that the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan People’s Movement also bombed El Deleng city in southern Kordofan.
The source added that a Rapid Support Forces drone targeted multiple positions in El Obeid in northern kordofan.
in this context, Volker Türk, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, warned today about clear signs of a possible escalation in clashes within South Kordofan state in southern Sudan.
The Sudanese army controls most of South Kordofan state and also major cities in northern Kordofan such as El Obeid, and cities in western Kordofan like Babanusa. Simultaneously occurring, Rapid Support Forces hold control over towns including Bara in northern Kordofan, Al Nahud in western Kordofan, and Aldebibat in southern Kordofan.
A military source told Al Jazeera that air defenses engaged drones belonging to the Rapid support Forces over several areas north of Omdurman; nevertheless, loud explosions were heard across the northern part of the city.
