Israeli Forces Mobilize Near Egyptian Border
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Egyptian sources told the newspaper al-Akhbar that Israel’s claim of combating smuggling along the shared borders between Egypt and occupied Palestine, and also declaring a military closed zone in this area, aims to create developments on the ground ahead of international forces entering Gaza.
These sources added that Tel Aviv seeks to manufacture an issue for future negotiations. It is indeed expected that Israel will deploy heavy weapons in this border zone without coordinating with international forces stationed there.
An egyptian military source also emphasized that Egyptian forces deployed in Gaza outnumber and outgun Israeli elements, so there is no cause for concern.
Yesterday,the news website Yisrael Hayom reported that Israeli defense Minister Yoav Katz ordered the army to declare the border area between occupied Palestine and Egypt a military closed zone.
