Lavrov: Putin’s Order for Preparations of Nuclear Tests Is Underway
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and RIA Novosti, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today, Saturday, that no explanation has been received through diplomatic channels regarding Donald Trump’s remarks about resuming nuclear tests.
The foreign minister added that statements from Washington indicate U.S.officials do not have a unified understanding of Trump’s comments on nuclear testing. It remains unclear whether Trump was referring to tests of nuclear weapons delivery systems or other related testing.
Lavrov further saeid that President Putin’s directive to prepare proposals assessing the feasibility of starting preparations for nuclear testing is currently under consideration and being carried out.
