The Guardian Reveals Israel’s Notorious Underground Prison for Torturing Palestinians

An ​English‌ newspaper has revealed the existence of ⁣a notorious⁣ underground prison in ⁣the occupied territories used for torturing ​palestinian detainees.

According ‌to⁤ the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the British​ newspaper The Guardian has exclusively disclosed that Israel is holding dozens of Palestinians from ⁣the Gaza ‍Strip in an ​underground prison named rekiot, affiliated ⁢with Eyalon ⁣Prison.These Palestinian‌ detainees are deprived of sunlight and ‌any contact with⁢ the‌ outside world.

The report states that according⁣ to human rights organizations, these Palestinian prisoners endure⁢ purposeful torture conditions. Among them ⁤are civilians ‌such as‌ a⁣ nurse⁢ and an 18-year-old grocery seller who face no formal charges. Like other Israeli detention‍ centers,⁤ they suffer beatings.

The article‌ also‌ highlights that ⁢this⁢ infamous prison was​ built in the ​1980s to detain ‍members of Israeli criminal gangs.⁤ Although it was ⁢closed, it reopened following orders ⁤from Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister ⁢of Internal Security, after Operation⁣ Al-Aqsa Storm. ‌Ben-Gvir has repeatedly boasted about mistreating Palestinian prisoners. These detainees face beatings, attacks by dogs, and​ are ‌denied adequate medical care and ⁤food.
