82% Voter Turnout in Iraq Special Election

The Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq announced an 82 percent turnout in the country’s special election.
The English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al mayadeen,reported that the Chairman of the Commissioners Council at Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission announced a turnout of 82 percent in the special election voting.
Omar Ahmed stated that more than 1.1 million voters participated in the special election.
He emphasized that the Independent High Electoral Commission has remained impartial toward all candidates.
The Iraqi Joint Operations Command earlier reported that military personnel participation in the special elections exceeded 80 percent.
The general phase of Iraq’s elections will be held on Tuesday.
