Details of High-Level Russian Delegation’s Visit to Egypt

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Sputnik, the press service ​of the Russian Security Council announced that‌ Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security council, arrived in Cairo ⁣on Sunday leading an interagency delegation ⁤to hold talks⁣ with ⁢senior political and military leaders ⁤of Egypt.

At​ the ⁢airport, Shoigu was welcomed by ⁢Fayza‍ al-Naga, Egypt’s National Security Adviser, and Georgy ‍Borisenko, Russia’s ambassador ⁢to Egypt.

The Russian delegation is scheduled ⁢to meet ‌with Egyptian President​ Abdel Fattah el-Sisi; Fayza⁣ al-Naga; badr ‌Abdel aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Abdel Moneim Saqr, ⁣Minister of ⁢Defense and Military Production;‌ along with other security officials.

The delegation includes representatives from the Ministries of ​Interior, Foreign affairs, Justice,⁢ Industry and Trade; the Federal ⁣Service for ‌Military-technical Cooperation; Roscosmos; Rosatom; and others.

The‌ agenda covers bilateral cooperation involving military and military-technical relations, dialog between law ⁢enforcement agencies and special services (including intelligence security and counter-terrorism), and also strategic projects in trade, energy, and food security sectors.
