Details of High-Level Russian Delegation’s Visit to Egypt

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Sputnik, the press service of the Russian Security Council announced that Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security council, arrived in Cairo on Sunday leading an interagency delegation to hold talks with senior political and military leaders of Egypt.
At the airport, Shoigu was welcomed by Fayza al-Naga, Egypt’s National Security Adviser, and Georgy Borisenko, Russia’s ambassador to Egypt.
The Russian delegation is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi; Fayza al-Naga; badr Abdel aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Abdel Moneim Saqr, Minister of Defense and Military Production; along with other security officials.
The delegation includes representatives from the Ministries of Interior, Foreign affairs, Justice, Industry and Trade; the Federal Service for Military-technical Cooperation; Roscosmos; Rosatom; and others.
The agenda covers bilateral cooperation involving military and military-technical relations, dialog between law enforcement agencies and special services (including intelligence security and counter-terrorism), and also strategic projects in trade, energy, and food security sectors.
