Lapid Admits to the Brutality of Zionist Settlers
According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Ma’an, Yair Lapid, head of the opposition faction in the Israeli regime, acknowledged the brutality of settler attacks against West Bank residents. He admitted that these assaults have long been out of control.
Lapid asserted that the Israeli army must intervene in the West Bank. This comes despite settler attacks against local residents being carried out with support from Israeli soldiers.
Earlier, Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, stated that reports from the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs documented 264 settler attacks on West bank Palestinians during October alone-the highest monthly figure in 20 years.
Haq added that these attacks have resulted in Palestinian casualties and extensive property destruction.
He noted that settler aggression has displaced 3,200 Palestinians from their homes and caused hundreds of injuries and deaths.
The spokesperson reported settlers are responsible for uprooting olive trees and setting fire to Palestinian vehicles and homes. Additionally, 42 palestinian children have been killed during this year’s violence.
