Hamas Reveals Herzog’s Purpose for Trip to Two African Countries

the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al-Mayadeen, reports that Hamas issued a statement responding to Israeli president Isaac Herzog’s upcoming visit to Zambia and Congo.
Hamas emphasized that such trips aim to influence the anti-colonial stances of African countries that support the rights of the Palestinian people.
The statement added that welcoming a war criminal whose hands are stained with innocent blood equates to actively participating in whitewashing the image of the occupying regime and normalizing its genocidal crimes against Palestinians-crimes whose consequences persist due to ongoing violations of ceasefire terms and continual aggressions.
Hamas called on all nations worldwide to impose sanctions on the Israeli regime and its leaders. It also urged African countries to refrain from establishing any relations with Zionist occupiers and to maintain their historic role in opposing oppression and colonialism.
Herzog is scheduled to visit Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he will meet with officials. He will be the first Israeli president ever to travel to Zambia.
