Latin America and Caribbean Summit Issues Statement on Gaza and Ukraine

The Latin American, Caribbean, and European ⁢Union Summit ended with a‌ statement condemning the United States’ sanctions against Cuba and calling for their removal, according to‍ the English section⁤ of webangah News​ Agency ⁢ citing Mehr News ‍Agency⁢ and Al⁣ Jazeera.

The final declaration also called for ⁤a lasting⁣ ceasefire in Ukraine.

Member ‌countries condemned the escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. They strongly denounced the expansion of ‍Israeli settlements and military operations by the Israeli regime‍ in these areas.

The statement further demanded guaranteed⁢ immediate‌ and unhindered access for humanitarian aid to Gaza​ and its interior.
