American Christians Protest Trump’s Meeting with Julani

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The washington Times, a group of American Christian leaders announced that on Monday they will deliver a letter to President donald Trump. They will urge him and congressional leaders to take immediate action in support of Christians and other religious minorities persecuted in Syria.
The letter, initiated by the institution “Save Persecuted Christians,” is being sent to the White House ahead of Trump’s scheduled meeting on Monday with Abu Muhammad al-Julani, leader of the terrorist groups controlling parts of Syria.
The signatories have called on Trump to directly address with the head of Syria’s interim government the issue of “massacres against religious minorities” including christians, Kurds, Druze, and Alawites.
It also states that religious minorities in Syria continue to suffer from violence, death, displacement, hunger, and shortages of water and medicine.
The letter bears more than 50 signatures from activists and Christian leaders.
In their appeal, Christian leaders ask Trump to ensure that the Syrian president commits to opening a secure humanitarian corridor from Hader to Sweida. They say this passageway would enable safe delivery of aid supplies and evacuation for civilians.
Reports indicate that following the fall of Syria’s legitimate government last December, hundreds among its ethnic and religious minorities-especially Alawites, Druze communities, and christians-have become victims of violence by militias aligned with al-Julani.
The minority leaders describe this recent wave as a “crime against humanity” directly contradicting al-Julani’s promises regarding “equality for all citizens.”
