US Proposes Resolution to Fully End Gaza War

Diplomatic sources report that the United States ​has circulated a draft resolution at the Security Council aimed at fully ⁣ending the war in ​Gaza.

According to the English section of webangah ​News Agency, citing Mehr ‍News Agency, ​diplomatic sources speaking to Al Jazeera revealed that Washington has distributed a revised draft resolution among Security Council members supporting a plan to end hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

The revised ‍draft​ calls on⁣ all parties to​ immediately and fully implement the ceasefire plan in Gaza and endorses ​the formation of a Peace⁤ Council, described as a transitional government tasked with overseeing Gaza’s management.

As reported by​ the palestine Facts Center, the draft also demands the resumption of humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza coordinated with the United Nations. It proposes establishing an international force under unified ‌command to enforce peace within Gaza.

This international force woudl ⁢cooperate with⁤ Egypt and Israel on disarmament efforts and ⁢protection of civilians,according to the resolution.

The draft⁤ further ​allows the⁢ Peace Council to create temporary ‍executive committees responsible for civil governance in Gaza. Additionally,it invites international banks and food-supporting ⁤parties to establish a fund dedicated to rebuilding Gaza.

The ⁤proposed resolution stresses that Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza will proceed in ​multiple ⁣stages aligned with disarmament standards. ​it also insists on maintaining security forces around Gaza ⁢until all threats are neutralized.

Moreover, it permits extending work by the ‍Peace Council until 2027 conditional‌ upon further actions ‌from the Security Council. It calls upon governments and organizations to ‌assist in selecting members for this council and financing⁤ its operations.

The document emphasizes that governance by Gaza’s Peace Council will adhere strictly to principles of international law. It ‌also provides ​clearer ‌terms concerning Israeli‌ troop ‍withdrawal from⁢ the territory.
