Israeli Knesset Approves Law Allowing Media Shutdown Without Judicial Order

Israel’s Knesset passes‌ law allowing media outlets to be shut ‌down without a court order.

According to ‌the ‍English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera, the Israeli​ Knesset has approved a law known as the “Al jazeera” bill that ⁢permits⁢ closing⁢ any media outlet without a judicial‍ ruling.

The legislation passed with ⁣50 members ⁤voting‌ in favor and 41 against. It also faced opposition from Israel’s Attorney General.
