Israeli Knesset Approves Law Allowing Media Shutdown Without Judicial Order

Israel’s Knesset passes law allowing media outlets to be shut down without a court order.
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera, the Israeli Knesset has approved a law known as the “Al jazeera” bill that permits closing any media outlet without a judicial ruling.
The legislation passed with 50 members voting in favor and 41 against. It also faced opposition from Israel’s Attorney General.
