Six Sadr Movement Recommendations for Election Day: Men Should Cook at Home

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Al-Jibaal news website, Saleh Muhammad Al-Iraqi, a close associate of Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Shia National Movement, called election day “Family Day” and advised men to handle cooking on this day.
Following this announcement, Al-Iraqi urged men to avoid conflicts with family members on Family Day. He also outlined six recommendations from Muqtada al-Sadr for supporters who are boycotting the elections.
Frist: Remain at home as much as possible unless in cases of emergency. Today is your day (family Day) and you may take leave from work until after Maghrib prayer.
Second: Use this time for worship, prayer, and seeking forgiveness. (Members of the Election Commission are exempt from this rule.)
Third: be prepared to follow any general or specific instructions if issued.
Fourth: Refrain from disrupting the election process.
Fifth: If anyone is compelled to participate in voting, they should act as our heroic security forces have done.
Sixth: After voting concludes, go to mosques, husayniyyas, and places of worship to thank God for guiding you toward boycotting the elections and pray for success and health for your leader.
The sixth parliamentary election in Iraq began earlier today. Citizens have until 6 p.m. local time to cast their ballots and select their representatives for parliament.
