Hamas: Palestinian Prisoners’ Execution Law Is an Attempt to Legalize Massacre

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement issued a statement responding to the preliminary approval of the draft law to execute Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli Knesset. Describing this fascist and sadistic legislation as blatant proof of the occupying regime’s insistence on violating international laws and treaties, especially humanitarian international law and human rights principles, Hamas condemned its passage in full view of the global community.
Hamas urged the international community, United Nations, and all human rights organizations to firmly condemn this racist and risky law. The movement called for imposing deterrent sanctions on Israel in response.
It also demanded establishing international investigative committees to visit Israeli prisons and examine conditions for Palestinian detainees.
The statement continued: “Palestinian prisoners are systematically subjected to torture and official abuse, resulting in dozens of deaths so far. This law’s enactment represents an open attempt to legitimize mass killings and further crimes against the Palestinian people.”
